Want More Sales? Stop Advertising!

Yes, that is a shocking statement.

Yet, it’s true.  How could it be?

It’s because it’s marketing that makes revenue soar.  For example, have you ever advertised in your local paper where your ad rep asked you to sponsor your high school team for the week?  This usually means there’s your logo with other local businesses’ logos.  You don’t stand out.  There’s no call to action. There’s no reason for someone to come buy from you?  After all, what reason did you give them?

That’s just one example of what I mean by stop advertising.  That particular way is a waste of money.  I will say, however, your ad rep made some money – good for him, eh?  B.S.!   Stop throwing your money down the toilet.  Your ad rep is using cleverly disguised phrases to guilt you into advertising to “support” and “sponsor” your local team.   He is ONLY after getting more revenue – that is his job.  If you really want to sponsor your local teams, donate things to them or give some money for uniforms or whatever.  In the process, create a kit each person can take home to their parents that has reasons for their family to do business with you, like coupons, for instance.

Give people reasons to buy and stop the image advertising – it will make you go broke.
